The impact of first responder work can sometimes feel like an isolating experience.In this group, we'll talk about how the work impacts first responders and their home lives. This is a voluntary, non-work based opportunity to share your experiences as first responders in the Portland Metro area.
We'll build skills and resources to help with:
--stress --relationships --anger -- grief
--isolation --parenting --sleep --diet/exercise
Connect with fellow first responders in group discussion. Build a more resilient mindset. Improve performance. Live more authentically, in line with your values. Career sustainability.

Craig Deardorff, LCSW, is the facilitator of this program. He has 7 seasons as a wildland firefighter on helitack and hand crews. He has 5 years as a resident/volunteer firefighter and spent the last 6 years in the mental health field. He is currently working full-time as a counselor for First Responder Psychology.
